Senator Men Roll in Final Tune-up Before MEC Golf Championships

ROANOAKE, W.Va. -- Strong performances by both the Davis and Elkins A and B squads led to a 1-2 finish in the two-day Stonewall Invitational.

The Senators' A-team won the tournament by an 11-shot margin. The Senators' B-team secured second by a one-stroke margin over West Chester.

Evan Lewis led the A-team with a two under par 142 (68, 74). He finished one stroke behind medallist Mitch Hoffman from Charleston. Lewis scored a hole-in-one in the first round on hole ten; marking the third of his career. Other strong performances by Sean Addie and Jack Coleman with top-10 finishes (fifth and eight, respectively) helped the team secure the win.

The Senators' B-team was headlined by freshman Sean McAufield's fourth-place finish individually with a two over par 146 (71, 75). McAufield continues a strong start to his collegiate golf career after holding the lead of the first round of the Berry Hills Invitational earlier in the season.
