THE OPENING TIP 
In a season that has had its fair share of close games, Davis & Elkins will look to erase the sour taste from last Wednesday's loss at the buzzer when it travels to take on Notre Dame (Ohio) on Saturday at 4:00 PM. Notre Dame returns home after losing a pair of games on the road.

  • How It Happened: Myles Monroe dropped in a career-high 29 points, including all eight in the overtime frame, as Notre Dame College stormed back in the second half from a double-digit deficit.
 
DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES 
  • Entering Saturday in 11th place in the league standings, D&E find itself on the outside looking in for the conference tournament. With plenty of games to play, the bottom five teams in the MEC standings are separated by one game.
  • Donte Doleman is eighth in the MEC in scoring average (17.7) and ranks 29th nationally in three-point field goal percentage (44.9).
  • Davis & Elkins is fourth in the league with 61 blocks this season, while Erkam Kiris is third in the MEC with 1.22 blocks/game. Kiris has posted double-digit points in each of the last seven contests.

  • Drew Scarberry paced the Falcons with 19 points in a 90-63 road loss to West Virginia Wesleyan. The defeat further compounded the issues for Notre Dame College away from home, posting just a 1-8 record in road games this season.
  • Levi Frankland leads the Falcons in scoring average (17.3) and Deanthony Owens paces the squad in rebounding average (6.3).
  • Notre Dame is fifth in the league with 176 three-pointers made, with three players canning 20 or more this season.
  • Mark Richmond is also in his first season as the head coach of the Falcons, arriving to the program after spending two years as the men's basketball director of operations at Youngstown State.
