Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins used an efficient offensive afternoon and a productive first half to post a 108–94 win over Frostburg State on Saturday at the McDonnell Center.
The Senators (3–5, 1–1 MEC) settled in quickly, turning early stops into transition baskets and finding a rhythm around the rim. D&E put up 57 points in the first half and never lost control of the pace, finishing with 58 points in the paint and shooting 41-for-78 from the field.
Vegas Evans led the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds, setting the tone on the interior. Noah Adamczyk added 20 points and three assists, and Matthew Gray contributed 16 points and nine boards while providing consistent activity on both ends. Darrius Roach added 17 off the bench, giving the Senators a lift throughout the second half.
Tristan Starks finished with 10 points, three steals and three assists, and Malachi Hampton added 12, helping D&E maintain separation when Frostburg State threatened to close the gap.
D&E also converted 28 points off turnovers and held a 24–10 edge in second-chance scoring.
Frostburg State (3–4, 1–1 MEC) was led by Mike Montano, who finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds.
Davis & Elkins returns home Wednesday, Dec. 10, to host Salem University at 7:30 p.m. in the McDonnell Center.
