DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES
  • Davis & Elkins rallied late but ran out of time in a tough 76-73 loss to Fairmont State on Wednesday night. The total margin of victory between the two meetings this season was a combined six points.
  • Donte Doleman registered 17 points last time out against the Falcons. He has scored 10 or more points in 15 games this season.

  • Emre Yildirim provided a barrage of three pointers early, finishing with 13 points against Fairmont State. He was just one shy of a season best, set earlier this year on the road against West Virginia State.
  • Tyler Twyman played a season-high 26 minutes off the bench for D&E, logging eight points against Fairmont. He has played 15 or more minutes in each of the last six outings.
  • Myles Monroe missed the last game for D&E, but ranks third on the squad in scoring average (13.6) and second in rebounding average (5.8).

SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
  • WVWC enters Saturday in seventh place in the MEC standings with a 5-6 conference mark.
  • The Bobcats suffered a last-second loss to Frostburg State, 76-74, despite a career-high 34 points from Dusan Vicentic.
  • Vicentic (16.5 PPG) is one of four players averaging double figures for the Bobcats, along with Daylin Lee (13.6 PPG), Ross Young (12.3 PPG) and Luka Petrovic (11.4 PPG).
  • The Bobcats have collected four of their six victories on the road this season.
  • Petrovic is second in the MEC with 5.3 assists/game, while Vicentic ranks third in the league in rebounding average (8.4).
  • After starting his career as a graduate assistant for WVWC, Nick Patella spent four seasons as the head coach with the D&E men's program before returning to Buckhannon.
  • The Bobcats are dealing with a tough stretch, going 1-4 over the last five games. Two of those losses were by two points or less, but the lone victory was against Concord, who handled Davis & Elkins back on January 18.
