D&E Men’s Basketball Partnering With Go 4 The Goal Foundation for Saturday’s Home Contest

ELKINS, W. Va. - Davis & Elkins men's basketball and the Go 4 The Goal Foundation are joining together to participate in the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer game on Saturday, January 25 against West Virginia Wesleyan.

The Senators will wear purchased gold shoelaces for the game, with funds directly benefiting kids and their families battling cancer in West Virginia. Additionally, donations will be collected at the concession stand of the McDonnell Center throughout the contest.

Saturday's contest against nearby West Virginia Wesleyan is also a Code Red doubleheader, with the women's team taking the floor at 2:00 PM and the men's game following. Fans and student-athletes are encouraged to wear red to support the Senators in a key conference clash.

About Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer
Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer began in the fall of 2011. Since then, professional, college and youth teams have participated in raising funds and awareness for the number one disease killer of children. To date, over a half million athletes have supported the cause. $4 from every $5 pair of laces and 100% of all donations directly benefit kids and families in the state where the funds are raised.
