ELKINS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins men's lacrosse team earned a 17-14 victory over Felician on Wednesday afternoon at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, giving the Senators their first win of the season and head coach Tycen Allan his first collegiate head coaching victory.

Davis & Elkins used a strong first quarter to build early momentum, scoring six goals in the opening period to take a 6-3 advantage. The Senators extended the lead to 8-5 by halftime and added five more goals in the third quarter to push the margin to 13-8 entering the final frame.

Felician made a late push with six fourth-quarter goals, but the Senators answered with four of their own to secure the win.

Xzavier Jankowiak led the Davis & Elkins offense with six goals and one assist, while Karsen Kronen added five goals and three assists for a team-high eight points. Devon Garcia contributed three goals and two assists, and Jordan Delorme finished with two goals and four assists. Collin Flannery added a fourth-quarter goal to round out the Senators' scoring.

Delorme's four assists helped drive the offensive attack as Davis & Elkins finished with 11 assists on 17 goals.

Felician was led by Liam Dunn, who scored five goals, while Ethan Todner added three goals. Stanley Labady II and Brian Rosko each recorded two goals for the Golden Falcons.

Goalkeeper Avery Linthicum made 18 saves for the Senators to help hold off Felician's late surge. 

Davis & Elkins capitalized on special teams opportunities, converting four of seven extra-man chances.

The Senators return to action March 12 when they travel to face Walsh.
