WILSON, N.C. – The Davis & Elkins volleyball team opened its 2025 campaign Friday at the Bulldog Invitational, dropping matches to Barton and Newberry inside Wilson Gymnasium.

Game One
The Senators fell 3-0 to host Barton (25-13, 25-13, 25-10) in the afternoon matchup. Kelsea Moore and Christine Rangel led the way offensively with four kills apiece, while setter Keira Robinson recorded 11 assists and seven digs. Neve Norris added seven digs and two service aces to round out the effort.

Game Two
In their second match of the day, D&E pushed Newberry to four sets before ultimately falling 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 16-25, 17-25). Melisa Ozsar paced the offense with 10 kills, while Rylan Sharp chipped in six. Saige Abbott anchored the defense with 17 digs and three service aces, and Robinson again guided the attack with 22 assists. Maddie Edicola added 12 digs and two aces to the balanced team performance.
