FROSTBURG, Md. — Davis & Elkins men's soccer earned a 2-0 victory over Frostburg State on Wednesday night in Mountain East Conference play at Bobcat Stadium.

The Senators struck early when Francisco Lopez Kreik netted his third goal of the season in the 10th minute to give D&E a 1-0 lead. Later in the first half, Hugo Fauli doubled the advantage, finishing off a setup from Joao Cavaletti in the 30th minute.

D&E controlled the pace with a 15-5 edge in shots and limited the Bobcats to zero shots on target. Goalkeeper Charlie Phillips, picked up the clean sheet behind a strong defensive effort.

The win pushes the Senators to 2-0-3 in MEC play (2-1-3 overall), while Frostburg State dropped to 2-2-0 in the conference (2-3-1 overall).

Davis & Elkins returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 28, traveling to Athens, W.Va., for another MEC matchup at Concord. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
