CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College women's golf team concluded its season at the Mountain East Conference Spring Classic on Tuesday at Edgewood Country Club, posting a team score of +164 (5th place) across two rounds.

Leading the way for the Senators were sophomores Marina Saviceva-Noti and Gadea Melgarejo, who both finished tied for 10th individually at +18. Saviceva-Noti carded rounds of 80 and 82 (162 total), highlighted by a front-nine 39 on Day 1 and a 35 on Day 2. Melgarejo followed closely behind with scores of 82 and 80 (162 total), including a steady 39 on the front nine of her final round, featuring a birdie on the par-4 third.

Following the tournament, both Saviceva-Noti and Melgarejo were recognized for their consistent play throughout the season by being named Second-Team All-Mountain East Conference.

The annual spring golf event, held Monday and Tuesday at Edgewood Country Club, determined the MEC's top individual honors, including Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and all-conference teams. Awards were based on individual performances across five MEC-sponsored rounds—three held during the fall at the Cobb Course at the Resort at Glade Springs, combined with the two-day Spring Classic.

Sophomore Grace Bronkella placed 33rd overall for the Senators, shooting rounds of 92 and 103 for a +51 total. Sophomore Alexis Herndon rounded out the D&E scorecard in 37th place, posting rounds of 105 and 116 for a +77 total.

The MEC Spring Classic marked the final event of the 2024-25 season for the Senators, who continued to show steady development throughout the year.
