Elkins, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced its All-Conference Softball Team for the 2024 season, recognizing outstanding performances and contributions on the field. Leading the Senators with All-MEC First Team honors were Sharon Morales and Sammie Jarvis.
Morales, a senior, hit .320 on the season with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns and 51 runs scored. She also stole 49 bases which is currently tied for first in the country while playing in 8 fewer games.
Jarvis, a freshman, was stellar on the mound going 15-5 on the season with a 2.79 ERA while striking out 156 batters in 130.1 innings.
Linzey Allard and Lilly Saucedo have been recognized for their exceptional performances, earning spots on the All-MEC Second Team.
Allard, a junior, hit .365 with 9 doubles, 2 triples, 8 homeruns, 47 RBI and 42 runs scored. She was also 16-16 in stolen base attempts.
Saucedo, a senior, led the Senators hitting .373 with 12 doubles, 3 homeruns, 37 RBI and 25 runs scored.
The Senators open up the MEC Softball Tournament on Wednesday, May 1st at 5:30pm in Troutville, VA when they take on Frostburg State.
