Banner Elk, N.C. - Lees McRae won four of five singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 5-2 win over visiting Davis & Elkins here Monday.
The Bobcats, from the DII Conference Carolinas, battled back after dropping the doubles point to take control and finish off the Senators, who fall to 3-5 on the year.

Sean Maphosa won at number one doubles to clinch the point for D&E after
Julian Tamburini and
Vinicius Azeredo had won at number three.
Anthony Martins closed out the scoring with a win at number six singles, taking a 1-6, 7-6 (2), 10-7 victory after trailing by a set and a break down.
"We showed some real improvement and fight today coming off a bit of a flat effort yesterday against Edinboro," said head coach Mark Walters. "We played some guys today who have been waiting to compete in
Kyle Hawthorne and Anthony (Martins), and they stepped up and played really hard. Overall I liked what I saw today, especially in our doubles."
The Senators continue their southern swing on Tuesday with a visit to Williamsburg, Ky., to face off against NAIA ranked University of the Cumberlands. The match time has been moved up to 11am due to forecasted rain showers in the afternoon.
