Youngstown, Ohio -- The Senator men's and women's track and field teams were back in action Friday when they competed at the YSU Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State University. The meet featured twenty-six different competing colleges, including many NCAA Division I institutions.
Highlighting the men's performances on the day was the school and meet records set by freshman Charlie Stephenson winning the 5000m in 14:34.46.
Stephenson's time is currently #2 in both the Mountain East Conference as well as the Atlantic Region.
Highlighting the women's performances on the day was freshman Lydia Falkenstein who finished second overall in the 3000m (10:26.69). The time is currently #2 in the MEC and #4 in the region.
In total on the day the Senators had eighteen performances that currently rank in the top ten on the Mountain East Conference performance list. Also, seven of the performances are in the top ten in the Atlantic Region.
