INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- A pair of Davis & Elkins student-athletes have been selected to attend the 2023 NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Super Region Convention.

Shelbey Fuller (Women's Swimming) and Sam Rolle IV (Men's Basketball will represent the Senators at the April 14-16 convention held in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Attendance at the convention is at no cost to the participants, institutions or conference offices and aims to provide student-athletes with an experience that will allow them to return to campus with leadership skills, ways to strengthen the student-athlete voice, an action plan to further promote mental health on campus, and knowledge of Division II student-athlete initiatives and the NCAA Division II Make It Yours brand. 

"I want to participate in this convention, because it is the perfect opportunity to learn from peers and further develop my personal and professional skills," Fuller shared. "I look forward to building friendships with other student athletes who have a positive influence at their colleges. What I hope to take away from this educational opportunity is the ability to promote a constructive outlook on campus and impeccable leadership skills."

"I'm hoping for an experience I've never been a part of," Rolle added. "I want to learn new things. I want to pick up more leadership qualities and just overall have a great experience."
