D&E Announces 2023 Outdoor Track Schedule

ELKINS, W. Va. – The Davis & Elkins track and field team has announced its 2023 outdoor schedule which begins March 17 with a return trip to the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by the University of Richmond. The meet will be one of four trips the Senators will make to Division I-hosted invitationals.

For the first time since 2019, the Senators will open their season at the Fred Hardy Invitational. The following weekend, the team will travel to nearby Harrisonburg, Va. for the Bridgewater-hosted Doc Jopson Invitational. The Senators will finish the month March 30 through April 2 with a select set of qualifiers, competing in the Colonial Relays hosted by DI William & Mary College.

The Senators' outdoor campaign continues into April with a double meet weekend April 7 when most of the team competes at the Bob Lewis Classic, hosted by Frostburg State. The following day, a small group of qualifiers will head to the DI George Mason Invitational in Fairfax, Va. for one of the faster meets on the east coast.

In the last two meets before championship season starts, D&E will compete in the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by Lynchburg College (April 14-15), and finish the regular season at the WVU Mountaineer Showcase in Morgantown, W. Va. (April 21).

The outdoor championship season starts April 30-May 2 on the campus of Frostburg State with the MEC Outdoor Championships.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships (qualifiers) concludes the season May 25-27 in Pueblo, Colo. at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
