BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has announced the 2022 Winter and Spring Academic Awards.  A total of 1,306 student-athletes received honors this semester, including 712 with a GPA of 3.70 or higher.  Student athletes with a semester grade point average of 3.70 – 4.00 were named All-MEC Academic.  Student athletes with a semester grade point average of 3.25 – 3.69 were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

"It was great to see so many outstanding student-athletes achieve at a high level in the classroom this semester while balancing their sport," said Director of Athletics Patrick Snively. "To find balance in both academics and athletics is truly the Division II model and these individuals exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete."           

Davis & Elkins College had 64 student athletes earn All-MEC Academic status.  D&E had 53 student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The sports included were acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, softball, women's lacrosse, and men's wrestling.
