Elle Fracker's Davis & Elkins College softball team heads into their final weekend of regular season play. The Senators have already clinched a spot in next weekend's Mountain East Conference tournament in Salem, Virginia.
Today, D&E welcomes Glenville State to Joni Smith Field. The Lady Pioneers have been hot as of late winning 10 of their last 13 games. The two teams met in Glenville on March 29
th with the Senators sweeping the doubleheader.
Linzey Allard leads the Senators with a .372 batting average. Allard has nine home runs, 10 doubles and a team leading 36 RBIs.
Mia Mendoza is batting .369 and has a team leading 58 hits. Mendoza also has 31 RBIs. Catcher
Honesty Holt is batting .318 with 21 RBIs.
Jules Gutierrez is tied with Allard with nine homers.
Jenna Evans has earned seven wins inside the circle for D&E.
Ava Willis and
Shelby Hile both have earned six victories pitching.
D&E enters the doubleheader with a 23-24 overall record. The Senators are 19-9 in the MEC.
The Lady Pioneers enter 16-23 and 12-15 in the league.
