ELKINS, W.Va. – Coach Elle Fracker and her Davis & Elkins College softball team travel to Owensboro, Kentucky this weekend to compete in the Blue Bridge Battle hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Senators open the tournament Friday morning with the University of Illinois Springfield.  The Prairie Stars enter the contest with a 6-1 record.

At noon on Friday D&E will take on Northwood.  The Timberwolves will have played their first game of the 2022 season earlier in the day.

Saturday Davis & Elkins will get to sleep in a little before heading to the field to battle Slippery Rock at 2:00pm.  The Rock open their season on Friday at the Blue Bridge Battle.

At 4:00pm on Saturday the Senators will take on the host institution Kentucky Wesleyan.  The Panthers have started the season 1-11. 

Sunday Morning the Senators will take on the University of Indianapolis.  The Greyhounds travel to Owensboro with a 7-1 record.

D&E will close out the weekend tournament with Missouri S&T at noon.  The Miners have a current record of 4-2.

Davis & Elkins enters the Blue Bridge Battle with a 0-7 record.
