Fracker Named SAAC Advisor

ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis and Elkins Director of Athletics, Patrick Snively recently named Head Softball Coach Elle Fracker Advisor of D&E's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Fracker, in her second year with the Senators will look to provide guidance to the student-led group with representation from each athletic program. SAAC serves as the primary governance arm representing student-athlete interests in Division II affairs. SAAC members serve as student-athlete liaisons that monitor and discuss happenings on campuses, within conference and at the national level.

"I am extremely excited about taking over the role of SAAC Advisor," said Fracker. "We have a great group of passionate student-athletes and SAAC gives them an opportunity to have a voice in our athletic department, on our campus, and in our community. I am excited to have a part in growing what D&E's SAAC represents. With the support of our athletic administration and campus leadership, I feel like this year will set a new tone for what SAAC will add to our campus."

"Coach Fracker is a natural fit for this role," said Snively. "She is very student-centered. She works to get students, both on her team and outside of her team, engaged on campus. She has an engaging personality and energy. I feel her presence will enhance the experience for our SAAC leadership and she will constantly find ways to engage and challenge them. I want our D&E's SAAC to be the example in the conference that all aspire to and that we truly 'Lead the Way' in all that we do. I trust that Coach Fracker will set us up to do just that."

Fracker also plans to make SAAC collaborative. "SAAC will also provide a great opportunity for our D&E student athletes to bring their thoughts and ideas to the conference level and be able to interact with other SAAC student athletes," she continued. "I am excited to have the opportunity to not only collaborate with the SAAC student-athletes but having many campus and community members get involved as well."
