PREVIEW: Men’s Basketball Looks to Bounce Back at Glenville State Wednesday

THE OPENING TIP
Davis & Elkins men's basketball aims to bounce back on Wednesday night, hitting the road to take on the Glenville State Pioneers on January 13 at 7:30 PM from the Waco Center. The D&E offense faltered down the stretch as #23 Fairmont State pulled ahead for an 87-70 victory, but that final margin doesn't offer full insight into how well the Senators kept pace with the Falcons for about 30 minutes on Sunday.

Glenville State looks to build upon its 2-0 start when the Pioneers welcome the Senators on Wednesday night. Collecting a pair of one-possession victories to start the season, the Pioneers knocked off WV State (117-114) and Charleston (72-70).

  • Marcus Fleming leads the Senators in scoring (21.0 PPG) and rebounding (11.5) through the first two games of 2021, averaging a double-double after the first week of the regular season. The junior is shooting an efficient 57.1% from the floor and logging 32 minutes/game.
