SERIES HISTORYÂ
- All-Time Series:Â Davis & Elkins leads 6-3 (as of 2011) Â Â Â
- Last Meeting: January 25, 2020 – Davis & Elkins 83, WV Wesleyan 76 | Box Score | Recap
- How It Happened:  Davis & Elkins men's basketball used some clutch foul shooting down the stretch to hold off a charging West Virginia Wesleyan side in the second half during an 83-76 home triumph at an energized McDonnell Center. Donte Doleman registered a team-best 21 points and grabbed for rebounds for the Senators, while Erkam Kiris posted 17 points of his own.
 Â
DAVIS & ELKINS NOTESÂ
- Much like the first meeting with Frostburg State, a second half lead was whittled down before foul shooting made the difference. D&E received a balanced effort in a 77-75 road win at Frostburg State last Wednesday, thwarting the Bobcats attempt to clinch a tournament berth with a win.
- Doleman is second in the league in minutes/game (36:16) and ranks fifth in the MEC in scoring average (18.7).
- Three players registered double digits in the win against FSU, while Myles Monroe and Kyle Leslie added nine points each. Â
- Mandela Baledrokadroka was impressive last tine out against Frostburg with a career-high 13 points. The redshirt freshman has emerged as a primary facilitator for the Senators offense, ranking third in the MEC with a 1.93 assist/turnover ratio.
- Kiris has posted double figures in 13 straight outings for D&E. He currently ranked eighth in the MEC in rebounds/game (6.9).
SCOUTING WV WESLEYAN
- Dusan Vicentic is one of the top players in the league and paces the team in scoring (17.8) and rebounding (8.4).
- The Bobcats have dropped two straight games, but have already locked up a spot in the conference tournament. Â WVWC can become the seventh team with 10 or more conferences wins with a victory on Saturday.
- Luka Petrovic had 16 points in the first meeting with D&E earlier this season.
- Head coach Nick Patella is looking to match the Bobcats' win total from last season with a victory on Saturday in his first year at the helm.
- The Bobcats are fifth in the league in steals/game (7.3) and Petrovic is second with 52 steals this season.
