The Davis & Elkins College Tennis teams fell in GMAC play on Sunday to Walsh 4-0.

In the Men's match, Andrew Shand and Alvaro Legoinha were dominant in a 6-1 win at #1 doubles. The Cavaliers struck back with a 6-1 win at #3 doubles.

In the deciding match, the Cavaliers took the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Alejandro Meseguer and Obert Matthew Mulyadi at #2 doubles.

The Cavaliers would win in straight sets at #1, #2, and #4 singles to clinch the match. The match was played to decision with the Cavaliers winning 4-0.

Alejandro Meseguer had just won an exciting first set 7-6 (10-8) at #3 singles when the match was stopped.

On the Women's side, Walsh swept the doubles point with ease, 6-1, 6-1, and 6-0 to take the 1-0 lead.

The Cavaliers followed up with straight sets win at #1, #3, and #4 singles to take a 4-0 decision over D&E.

Laura Vargas was leading the second set 4-2 after dropping the first set when the match was stopped.

The Senators will return to action this week, with the Men hosting West Liberty on Tuesday at 3:30 PM, and the Women traveling to Ursuline for a GMAC match at 3:30 PM in Ohio.
