Cody Turner's 6-4, 6-4 win at #6 singles highlighted the Senators' effort against the hosting Salem University Tigers on Thursday afternoon.
Salem, who is ranked #7 in the Atlantic Region by the ITA, swept the doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
Mason Schoonover and
Andrew Shand played the closest match, 6-3 at #3 doubles in their first match as a team this season.
Obert Matthew Mulyadi fell to the Atlantic Region's #14 ranked player Bartosz Losiak 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles.
Alejandro Meseguer fell in a tight 6-4, 6-3 match at #2 singles, a match that featured high levels of tennis and long rallies from both sides.
Andrew Shand competed hard in a 6-4, 6-2 match against Patryk Garwacki, ranked #9 in the Atlantic Region at #3 singles.
