DURHAM, N.C. -
The Senators had a big weekend running at the Duke University Invitational in Durham, N.C. on Friday and Saturday.
Running in a field comprised of several Division I institutions and Division II powerhouses, the Senators held their own with several impressive performances.
Emeric Arnaud ran the first Outdoor Track & Field Provisional Time in program history, shattering the school record in 14:22.38 in the 5000m. This time currently ranks 17th in Division II, and is the second fastest 5K in GMAC history. Arnaud ran this event in the 5K Invitational among 24 other runners from schools such as Duke, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Minnesota, and Virginia Tech.
Daniel Jarrell broke the school record with a 22.13 time in the 200m, and finished strong in the 400m at 49.2
Dawson Scheufele broke his own record in the 800m, finishing with a time of 1:58.336.
Aidan Konhaus ran a strong 5K time of 15:37, and the tandem of
Felix Buck-Gramcko and
Scott Barker ran 4:06 and 4:07 in the 1500m.
The Senators will head to Morgantown for Saturday's WVU Invitational.
