The Davis & Elkins College Women's Golf team competed in the MEC Spring Invitational this past weekend at the Oglebay Resort in Wheeling. Their 7th place finish out of 10 teams was the best finish in the inaugural program's history.

Kaitlin Dixon led the way for the Senators, finishing in 23rd with a round of 94.

Morgan Henrie carded a 103 for a 33rd place finish, with Mackenzie Mulkiewicz right behind her with a 107. Elizabeth Finney was the final scorer for D&E with a round of 111.

The Senators finished with a team score of 415, two strokes ahead of Urbana. D&E also finished ahead of West Liberty and UVA-Wise.

The Senators will hit the links for the final time this season with this weekend's GMAC Championship in Lexington, Kentucky.
