BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Davis & Elkins' Chris Carter has been named Mountain East Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week, and Jaime Boulier was selected as the league's Women's Simmer of the Week, announced Thursday morning.

Carter, a senior from Clayton, N.C., helped lead the Senators to a dual win against Frostburg State last weekend at Myles Pool. He had individual wins in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.31) and 200 breaststroke (2:26.24), and was third in the 200 individual medley (2:15.25). He also swam the final leg of the 200 medley relay team that finished second (1:43.05).

Carter becomes the third different men's athlete to pick up MEC Swimmer of the Week honors, joining Jiwh Santos and Vignesh Muley. Meanwhile, Bouiler becomes the first Davis & Elkins women's swimmer to earn a weekly accolade from the MEC.

Boulier, senior from Waterbury, Conn., had four victories last weekend as Davis & Elkins swept past Frostburg State and California (Pa.) in the Senator Duals. She had individual wins in the 200 free (2:06.20), 200 backstroke (2:23.76) and 200 individual medley (2:27.06), and was the anchor leg on the 400 freestyle relay team that also finished first.

The women's team enters the holiday a perfect 5-0 in dual meets this season, while the men's team sits at 3-1 in dual action.

Davis & Elkins returns from break for its final home event of the season, welcoming West Virginia Wesleyan to Myles Pool on Saturday, January 11 at 1:30 PM.
