Box Score CANTON, Ohio - The Davis and Elkins College Men's basketball team was defeated by Walsh University by 92-56 in a G-MAC play this afternoon.
The Senators started the game well with a 7-0 advantage and kept the lead until almost halfway through the first period. The Cavaliers came back and outscored the visitors in the first half of the game, going into half-time with a 46-23 lead.
D&E tried to keep up with the home team but was not able to follow them closely. Walsh increased the difference on the scoreboard and finished the game with a 92-56 score.
Trevor English was the stats leader for the Senators with 15 points, collecting eight rebounds, and four of Davis and Elkins´ 14 assists.
Erkam Kiris and
Edmund Parker added eleven and eight points, respectively, to the scoreboard. Kiris had four rebounds while Parker had three.
Parker also led the Senators with two steals, along with
Patrick Wilburn, who also had two in the game.
The Senators shot 32 percent and were also just 50 percent from the free-throw line in the game, going 3-for-6.
The Davis and Elkins Men's Basketball team will be back on the road and face Salem University in a non-conference battle on Wednesday. The game is set for 7:00 PM.
