GLENVILLE, W. Va. — The Davis & Elkins College women's basketball team (1-11,1-5 MEC) fell to Glenville State (9-4, 4-2 MEC) at the Waco Center on Wednesday night, with a final score of 83-48 in Mountain East Conference play.

Despite the loss, several Senators delivered notable performances. Senior guard LaChazity Shaver led the team with 9 points, shooting 4-for-13 from the field and contributing 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 35 minutes of play. Senior forward Jackie Wright showcased her presence in the paint, recording a team-high 12 rebounds, including 3 on the offensive end. She also added 7 points.

Freshman Jahniya Marion added 8 points, including 3-of-6 from the free-throw line, while senior Alexis Smith chipped in with 6 points and 4 rebounds. Freshman Jocelyn Gagnon hit one of the team's four 3-pointers, finishing with 3 points and 3 rebounds.

The Senators struggled offensively, shooting just 28.1% (18-for-64) from the floor and committing 32 turnovers.  D&E's defense managed 6 steals and held Glenville State to 23.4% shooting from beyond the arc.
