CLARION, Pa. -- Despite falling short in their matchup with Shippensburg at the Clarion Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Davis & Elkins College Volleyball showed some resilience during their final game of the tournament.

The Senators were competitive in key moments, managing six ties and three lead changes throughout the match. In the third set, D&E fought valiantly, nearly matching Shippensburg's pace and showing improvement with a 15-point effort.

Senior Reanne DeBose led the attack for D&E, recording 8 kills with no errors, boasting a stellar .471 hitting percentage. Melisa Ozsar also contributed solidly, notching 5 kills, while Clara Caralt shined defensively, leading the team with 9 digs. The Senators tallied a total of 33 digs, demonstrating their defensive tenacity. 

Though the match ended in a 3-0 defeat, Davis & Elkins' ability to battle through challenging stretches highlighted their potential as the season progresses. They will look to build on these efforts in their next contest as they continue to strive for a breakthrough.
