ELKINS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College men's soccer team cruised to a 5-0 victory over Point Park University on Wednesday evening at Nuttall Field. The Senators scored four goals in the first half and capped the win with a fifth in the second half, displaying offensive strength and defensive control throughout.
Freshman Francisco Lopez Kreik opened the scoring in the fifth minute, assisted by senior Modou Faye, who followed up with a goal of his own at the 11:36 mark to put the Senators up 2-0. Johan Magaña further extended the lead with back-to-back goals in the 30th and 34th minutes, bringing his season total to eight.
In the second half, Shemar Daley added a final goal in the 76th minute, solidifying the team's dominant performance. Goalkeeper Dante Ordenes recorded two saves, ensuring a clean sheet for D&E, which improved to 7-5-3 on the season.
The Senators outshot Point Park 13-6 and forced the Pioneers' goalkeeper into three saves.
