Fairmont, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins fell on the road at nationally ranked Fairmont State 81-62. Madison Bulter had a strong game for the Senators with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.

The Falcons jumped out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter behind a strong defensive effort that limited the Senators to 4-20 (20%) shooting. Davis & Elkins would cut the lead to five points with a little over two minutes remaining in the half. However, Fairmont State would end the half on a 7-0 run to take a 35-23 lead into halftime.

The Falcons would extend their lead to 66-45 after the third quarter which saw them shoot 12-16 (75%) from the field including 5-8 (62.50%) from behind the arc. The Senators would shoot the ball well in the second half going 17-35 (48.57%) from the field but it wasn't enough to overcome the Falcons.

Alexis Smith added 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals while Jaela Reid pulled down 11 rebounds for the Senators.
