INDIANA, Pa. – Davis & Elkins was unable to put together a winning set in the Crimson Hawk Classic, hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania Friday and Saturday.
The Senators faced their stiffest competition on Friday as they took on IUP and Jefferson. The hosts swept D&E in three sets (25-6, 25-13, 25-9) and went 4-0 in their own tournament. Jefferson also defeated D&E in three sets (25-15, 25-16, 25-11) and went 3-0 in the tournament, losing only to IUP.
On Saturday, D&E played Shepherd and D'Youville. The Senators fell in straight sets 3-0 to the Rams (25-13, 25-11, 25-15) and Saints (25-12, 25-19, 25-19).
Clara Caralt and Melisa Ozsar were named to the thirteen-member all-tournament team. Caralt had 44 digs throughout the tournament, while Ozsar added 15 kills and 16 digs.
