ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins opened up at home Friday evening with a three-set sweep of visiting Salem University. The win gave Head Coach
Moneshia McKenney her first as a Senator and some momentum as the team heads into Mountain East Conference play.
The Senators reeled off sets of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-14 in front of a spirited home crowd to kick off Family Weekend on campus.
Gracjana Rozanska was among the leaders for the Senators with 10 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks, and an assist. Reanne DBose added a game-high 15 digs and 10 kills.
Simone Daniels contributed a game-high 24 assists and an ace.
Melisa Ozsar added a game-high 4 blocks and 6 kills.
Clara Caralt gave the Senators 14 digs, 3 assists, and a pair of aces.
Katie Beth Caudill chipped in 2 blocks and
Logan Haught added 11 digs in the win.

The Senator take on Glenville State on Tuesday, September 26 in Glenville as they open MEC play. They play West Virginia State on the road on Friday, September 29 before returning home on Tuesday, October 3 to take on the University of Charleston. Start times for all three contests is set for 7pm.
