CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins ran into an offensive buzz saw in its first Mountain East Conference women's soccer contest on the road against the University of Charleston and fell to the Golden Eagles 5-0.
Charleston managed 22 total shots with 14 on goal in the contest. The Golden Eagles put five goals on the board early in the contest and put the game away with thirteen minutes remaining in the first half.
D&E was only able to get off three shots in the contest, but none on goals.
The Senators' keeper,
Alaina Laurence had nine saves in the net.
