SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins hit the road for the third time in as many days for a non-conference doubleheader with Shepherd University. The Senators fell in both games by scores of 14-3 and 8-4.
 
GAME ONE
D&E watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-3 loss in game one. Shepherd scored on a sacrifice fly and a single in the first inning. The Rams followed with runs on a sacrifice fly, a home run, and a single in the second inning. Shepherd then scored four runs in the third inning.

Eli Lam was credited with the victory for Shepherd University. He allowed four just hits and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Riley Grant threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Wes Athey took the loss for Davis & Elkins College. The pitcher went three innings, allowing 11 runs on ten hits and striking out one.

Daniel Keane started the game for Shepherd University. The ace surrendered two runs on five hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one

D&E racked up ten hits on the day. Cort Kegley, Aydin Zimmerman, Fletcher Hindman, and Dezmon Johnson all managed multiple hits for Davis & Elkins College.

GAME TWO
D&E again let game two get away early in an 8-4 loss. Shepherd scored all eight runs in the first three innings.

D&E managed to out-hit the Rams ten to nine.

Zac Rose took the win for Shepherd. The ace allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Brennan Holmes threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Malakai Webb took the loss for the Senators. The pitcher allowed five hits and eight runs over three innings.

Jack Silder started the game for Shepherd University. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over three innings, striking out five

Dezmon Johnson and Connor Hyde each collected multiple hits for Davis & Elkins College. Johnson led D&E with four hits in four at bats.
