ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins ran its undefeated home win streak to seven games with a 3-0 win over the visiting West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats Tuesday evening.
It was another dominant night for head coach Jordan Willis' team as they only allowed three total tie scores and one lead change throughout the match lasting around an hour and fifteen minutes. They outscored the Bobcats 25-16, 25-22, and 25-17.
Macie Magallon once again led all with 19 kills.
Brilance Manchego was the game-leader in both set assists with 35 and aces with 4. She also had 5 digs.
Mariah Autobee had a team-high 9 digs. Clara Caralt followed close behind with 8.
Reanne DeBose had a solid outing with 9 kills and 2 blocks.
Maria Isabel Butruce Cadiota added 6 kills, while Katie Beth Caudill chipped in a pair of blocks, and Kylianne Philip added 2 assists.
Davis & Elkins moved to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the Mountain East Conference.
The Senators play back-to-back evenings on the road Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8 to play Fairmont State and Frostburg State. Fairmont State is 4-1 in the MEC, while Frostburg State is 1-4 in-conference.
