FROSTBURG, Md. – The Davis & Elkins volleyball team took to the road for a pair of Mountain East Conference matchups and went 1-1 on back-to-back evening contests.
On Friday, the Senators traveled to Fairmont State to battle the MEC North's number two team in Fairmont State. 
The Senators pushed the Falcons late into each set but were ultimately unable to capitalize and fell in three sets, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-21.
D&E was able to force thirteen tie scores in the match, but only one lead change throughout. 
Fairmont State never led by more that four points in the first set. In the second set, the Falcons pulled away late from a 22-22 tie. In the final set, D&E trailed by as many as seven on a pair of occasions but kept battling back before falling by six.
In the match, Macie Magallon led all players with 14 kills and Maria Isabel Butruce Candiota and Reanne DeBose each added 10. Brilane Manchego led all players with 33 set assists. Clara Caralt led all with 16 digs, while Jeanne Hassoun added 11 and Mariah Autobee added 8. 
On Saturday, the Senators took down Frostburg State in four sets, 25-19, 26-24, 25-27, 26-24.
The match saw a total of 21 tie scores and seven lead changes.
Magallon had 22 kills on the match, which tied her season-high. DeBose added a season-high 21 kills. 
Manchego added a season-high 52 set assists. Caralt had 30 digs in the match, while Manchego added 19. 
The Senators are not 11-8 overall and 4-3 in the Mountain East Conference. They currently sit in third in the MEC South with a home matchup with Notre Dame College on Tuesday, October 11 up next. The first serve is set for 7pm.
