PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins volleyball team took a quick trip up the road to Alderson Broaddus Friday evening and it took only three sets and about an hour to take care of the Battlers, 25-10, 25-15, 25-10.
Macie Magallon and Reanne DeBose led the Senators with 8 kills apiece. Brianna Portly added 5 kills.
Portley and DeBose added 3 blocks, while Katie Beth Caudill chipped in 2.
Jeanne Hassoun had 3 aces in the match, while Mariah Autobee added one.
Brilane Manchego had 19 set assists in the contest. Kylianne added 4 assists and Clara Caralt added 3.
Caralt also had 9 digs in the match, while Autobee and Haylie Marumoto added 7 each.
D&E is now 13-8 overall and 6-3 in the Mountain East Conference.
The Senators have won three in a row and five of the last six. They play next on Tuesday night at Glenville and then at home on Friday against West Liberty. Both contests are set for 7pm.
