ELKINS, W.Va. -- On a soggy, rain-soaked afternoon on Nuttall Field, Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus battled to 0-0 halftime score before the Senators reeled off four goals in the second half to the Battlers one to secure the Homecoming victory.

Fighting the elements throughout the contest as remnants of Hurricane Ian poured a consistent, heavy rain on the field, D&E was able to get off a total of thirty-two total shots, while the Battles were only able to get off nine.

Fifteen of the Senators' shots were on goal and Alderson Broaddus had four on goal.

The first Senator goal came in the forty-sixth minute. Nao Kawasaki scored her third goal of the season off an Alexa Karsel assist.

Kawasaki scored the next goal in the sixty-sixth minute for her fourth of the season.

AB's Riley Gelsinger scored in the seventy-sixth minute to make the score 2-1 D&E.

In the seventy-seventh minute, the Senators' Seika Ikezoe scored D&E's third goal. Madison Rose supplied the assist.

The final goal came with just over three minutes remaining. Azalea Ayala scored her second goal of the season off an Alexa Karsel assist.

D&E moved to 4-4 on the season and 3-4 in the Mountain East Conference.

The Senators play next at Notre Dame College on Wednesday, October 5 at 3pm.
