Senators Battle Falcons to a Draw

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Davis & Elkins and Notre Dame College battled to a 1-1 draw Wednesday afternoon.

Nao Kawasaki scored her fifth goal of the season midway through the second half to pull the Senators even. Notre Dame's goal came in the first half from Maridza Desir.

D&E put nine shots on goal. Madeline Veser and Seika Ikezoe had two shots on goal apiece. Azalea Ayala, Maria Cabal, Danielle Grimmer, Sachiko Gamo, and Kawasaki each had one shot on goal.

Goalkeeper Katie Clarke had five saves in the contest.

D&E is now 5-4-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the Mountain East Conference. The Senators sit in a tie for third in the MEC South Division with Concord.

The Senators play next on Saturday, October 8 at 5pm against Glenville State at home.
