ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins head triathlon coach Chris Hammer announced the team's 2021 schedule this week, beginning September 5 and concluding in mid-November.
Davis & Elkins triathlon traversed through a shortened season in the spring, holding the bulk of their competitions during a trip to Florida last March. This season, the Senators compete in five events across five different states.
The Senators had a chance to add depth and continue competing with the D&E cross country and outdoor track & field teams last spring, but turn their attention to a more traditional fall schedule in September.
D&E opens the season with the SoHo Collegiate in Tennessee on September 5, heading to North Carolina the following weekend for the LR SuperSprint Cup on September 11.
The Senators roll on with the Savageman Triathlon Festival from September 17-19 before taking part in regionals at the Smith Mountain Lake event on October 16.
D&E wraps up the year with the USA Triathlon National Championships, once again hosted by Arizona State, on November 12-13.
