GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins women's soccer scored three times in the second half in a 3-0 road win at Glenville State on Friday night.
Alexa Karsel scored her first two goals of her D&E career and
Roxanne McFarlin also registered a marker in the shutout win. Davis & Elkins (2-3) recorded its second road win this week, previously beating Alderson Broaddus on Wednesday evening.
Anna Kerth picked up another shutout with three saves over 90 minutes. Karsel ripped seven shots with six on target while
Azalea Ayala posted five shot attempts of her own.
Karsel scored at 64:46 and 82:13 and McFarlin added her goal at 79:11 to put things out of reach.
The Senators had a season-high 20 shots on the evening, peppering Glenville State (1-3) keeper Morgan Smailes. D&E had a flurry of shots within the first six minutes of the game and maintained the offensive opportunities into the second half.
D&E returns to action on Friday, April 2 to welcome Alderson Broaddus to Nuttall Field for a 6:00 PM matchup.
