BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Davis and Elkins men's soccer team finished off the Mountain East Conference regular season defeating West Virginia Wesleyan 2-0 Sunday night on the road. It was the 13th shutout of the season for the Senators.The win against the Bobcats helped the Senators to close out an undefeated regular season of 16-0-2 and as Mountain East Conference regular season Champions.

The Senators dominated the first half with 11 shots on goal. Daniel Cerezo scored the first goal on a header in the 25th minute off the assist from Soshi Fujioka. Anderson Marroquin scored the second goal for the Senators off a Gianluca Fiorini assist in the second half.

University of Charleston has dominated the Mountain East Conference and this is the first time since 2012 they have not won the regular season championship. Davis and Elkins picks up home field advantage now for the MEC Tournament and takes sole control of the #1 seed. Currently ranked #3 in the nation, D&E will look to remain undefeated and add the Conference Tournament Championship to the collection this year as well. 

The Championship is the first MEC Soccer Championship in Davis and Elkins history.
