SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio —
The Falcons of Notre Dame (Ohio) capitalized on 29 points off of D&E turnovers in a 76-67 victory on Saturday in South Euclid, Ohio.
An early deficit put the Senators behind early, and 28 turnovers halted any chance at a comeback, despite another double-double by 
Jamiyah Johnson, and a strong performance from the free throw line. Johnson would match her team-high 19 points with 19 rebounds, and 
Sydney Nestor (13 points) and 
Peyton Mohler (12 points) also would finish in double figures. Nestor and Mohler added five rebounds each, while 
Jay Kilpatrick and 
Rachel Bolyard led the Senators with three assists each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
    •    
Courtney Roth scored four of the first nine points for D&E, and her fast break lay-up knotted the game at 9 with 5:47 remaining in the first quarter, before a 12-2 run put the Falcons on top.
    •    Free throw shooting brought D&E back within two towards the end of the first half, but Notre Dame took a 38-33 lead into the break.
    •    Johnson tallied ten rebounds in the third quarter, and Nestor's back-to-back layups put the Senators down one point midway through the third quarter.
    •    After Bolyard's three-pointer put the game within reach at 68-64 with 2:25 remaining, the Falcons pulled away for the victory.
GAME NOTES
    •    Johnson's record-breaking season continues, as she notched her 17th consecutive double-double.
    •    Johnson also set a team season-high with three blocks.
    •    Mohler scored eight of her 12 points on free-throws.
    •    Points off turnovers were the difference maker, as Notre Dame outscored the Senators 29-7 off giveaways.
