NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The Senators Baseball team was swept over the weekend during a four-game series with Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville.
The Senators jumped out to a 3-1 lead in Game 1, behind RBI singles from
Tanner Wickham and
Ryan Savitt, but couldn't prevent the big inning, as the Trojans rallied for five runs in the 5th to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Shawn Pass went 3-3 on the day, and
Anthony Laney also had an RBI single in the 7-4 loss.
Kade Kozak started out strong on the mound with four strikeouts in four innings, but the Trojans chased him in the fifth inning with a 5-3 lead.
Marcos Feria pitched 3 2/3 innings in relief, allowing just one unearned run.
In Game 2, the Trojans got to starting pitcher
Brent McMillion early, and would go on to win 15-4.
Justin Worley hit a two-run home run, his second of the year, and
Guiseppe Orlando had an RBI single.
On Saturday, the Senators fell in two games 5-2 and 9-2.
Greyson Caldwell led the way with a two RBI single in the sixth inning.
Shawn Pass went 2-4, and
Guiseppe Orlando was also 2-4.
In Game 4,
Justin Worley hit his second home run of the series to score the only runs for the Senators in a 9-2 loss.
D&E will travel to Tiffin this weekend for a four game series.
