First Quarter Deficit Too Much for Senators to Overcome in 94-84 Loss to Shepherd

ELKINS, W. Va. –   Despite five Senators finishing in double figures and a foul-happy Shepherd team, an early deficit was enough to send D&E to its third straight loss to start the season. Despite playing only 22 minutes, Jamiyah Johnson finished with career-high 22 points, adding eight rebounds on the game. Jay Kilpatrick added 18 points, and Jessica Eadsforth-Yates led the team with six assists to go with 12 points. Peyton Mohler set a high mark in her young career with 13 points, and Sydney Nestor, who ended with 12 points, led the team with nine rebounds. The Rams capitalized on a 28-point performance from Sydney Clayton, shooting 58 percent from the field in the ten-point victory.
