CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
  • Fans can view the MEC Cross Country Championships on the MEC Digital Network.
  • Formed in 2017, MountainEast.TV is the one-stop destination to watch MEC sports online. Through its partnership with BlueFrame Technologies and Production Truck software, MEC member institutions are able to stream a variety of events on campus including games, press conferences, graduation ceremonies, student-athlete interviews and other additional content. Further, this content is available wherever fans want it -- on their computer, mobile device or through an assortment of OTT apps like Roku, AppleTV, AndroidTV and Amazon Fire.
  • Individuals that finish 1-10 are named first team all-conference sections while runners finishing 11-20 are named second team all-conference.
 
DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES
  • Davis & Elkins is ranked first in the NCAA Atlantic Region, marking the first season the program has been regionally ranked.  
  • The Senator women are also receiving votes in the NAA Top 25. No other Mountain East Conference women's team has been nationally ranked.
  • Davis & Elkins have won two events this fall, earning first place in the Bethany Invite (9/7/19) and the Route 33 Cup Classic (9/27/19).
  • This will be the first year Davis & Elkins is competing in the MEC Cross Country Championships. The Senators finished seventh in the 201 GMAC Championships and Lavania LeMasters (37th - 25:47.2), Skylee Watson (45th - 26:41.4) and Madeline Brown (54th - 27:43.6) are returners for D&E that competed at the event last season.
  • The Senators are a young team in 2019 with eight freshmen on the roster.
  • Davis & Elkins finished second at Lock Haven Invite (9/21/19) behind only NCAA DI West Virginia, who is ranked fourth in the NCAA DI Mid-Atlantic Region.
  • Davis & Elkins is looking to continue the momentum from last time out at the Royals XC Challenge, where Svea Timm (18:07.7), Anya Miller (18:2.9) and Madison Michels (18:31.7) all set a school record 5K time.
  • Timm has earned the MEC Runner of the Week award twice this season, while Claire Otte won the same award on September 10th following her victory in the Bethany Invite with a 22:38 6K time.
