SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame College used a key stretch in the second half on Thursday, scoring twice in the span of four minutes to pull away from visiting Davis & Elkins by a 2-0 count on Thursday afternoon at Mueller Field in Mountain East Conference (MEC) play.
Davis & Elkins (5-4-2, 4-3-1 MEC) mustered just one shot on Thursday after launching 32 last time out against Urbana.
Madeline Stevenson recorded the shot attempt for the Senators in the 83rd minute Meanwhile, Notre Dame College (5-3-4, 4-3-1 MEC) was strong defensively and balanced on the offensive end with five shots in each half.
Kazarie Kephart scored on a quick shot for a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute and Ellie Gess doubled that advantage in the 87th minute. The goals left the visiting Senators with little time to rally as the Falcons salted away the conference victory.
Katie Clarke made a pair of saves in goal for the Senators.

GAME NOTES
- Davis & Elkins was held without a corner kick as offensive chances were tough to come by.
- One shot is the fewest this season and just the second time the Senators were held below five shots in a game.
- Stevenson posted her first shot since September 14 against Walsh.
- D&E was whistled for eight fouls in the conference game.
