ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Senators Women's Basketball team dropped a hard-fought 65-62 battle this afternoon at the hands of the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans in the McDonnell Center.
In a rollercoaster of a game that featured 16 lead changes, the Senators took a 31-28 lead into the half. The Trojans rallied late to capture the lead and close out for the three point victory.
Jay Kilpatrick and
Jamiyah Johnson led the Senators with 14 points each, while Johnson added a game-high 14 rebounds for the double-double.
Kali Wilburn added 10 points, and
Sydney Nestor had a solid game on the glass, finishing with six points and eight rebounds.
The Senators will return to action in GMAC play on Thursday evening against Tiffin. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM in Tiffin, Ohio.
