TIFFIN, Ohio-
The Davis & Elkins College Women's Basketball team fell on the road against the Tiffin Dragons 64-62 on Thursday night, in an exciting, hard-fought matchup.
The Senators jumped out to a 19-17 after the first quarter of play, but Tiffin came back to take a halftime lead. The second half saw several lead changes, with the game being tied at 62 with 42 seconds remaining. The Dragons made a go-ahead bucket with 12 seconds left on the clock, and a last second shot by the Senators was blocked to close out the 64-62 win for Tiffin.
Jamiyah Johnson had another big game for the Senators, leading all scorers with 18 points. Johnson also added nine rebounds on the night.
Jay Kilpatrick added nine points and two steals, while
Nicole Armstrong helped with eight points and four rebounds.
The Senators continue the conference road trip with Saturday's game at Cedarville. Tip-off has been moved up to an 11 AM start time, due to possible weather in the area.
