ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Basketball team fell in a GMAC conference match-up 78-61 at the hands of the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Thursday evening in the McDonnell Center.
The Panthers jumped out to an early lead, eventually leading by as much as 22 points, as the Senators could only cut the lead to 17 by the end of regulation.
Jamiyah Johnson led the way for the Senators, with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Kali Wilburn added ten points and three boards, while 
Colleena Burdock had nine points, a game-high five assists, and a block.
Jay Kilpatrick had six points and two steals, and 
Courtney Roth helped with eight points.
The Senators will return to action on Saturday in GMAC play against Trevecca Nazarene. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM, immediately following the men's game in the McDonnell Center.
